We are thrilled to be announcing the release of our new wallet account component. This new component will create seamless fluidity between the Silks.io site and the Portal. New Silks Wallets are secure and safeguarded by our partners, MagicLink. Magic enables blazing-fast, hardware-secured, passwordless login and Web 3 onboarding.
Need to know:
- Existing users will not have to re-register. On the Sign In screen as shown below in the screenshot, all users will click Sign In and proceed with their original account information.
- Initially, deposits are made available via Coinbase Pay, Transak, and MoonPay. In the next version launch, we will be vastly simplifying this process.
- ETH deposits can go directly into your Silks Wallet address.

- Disclaimer: You won't ever have to export this wallet, but the option is available.
Existing Users
Existing users will click Sign In as normal and use previous account details. All of your Portal information and past racing results are the same as previous versions.
Need to know:
- You can now sign in on any browser, regardless of the location of your wallet.
- You will still be able to see your account Balance, Rewards, and Assets on any browser, including mobile.
- The Avatar, Map, Stable, and Marketplace channels will all still work properly regardless of wallet connection.
- On mobile, the Avatars and Stable tabs are available
- If you aren't connected to a wallet or have a different wallet selected, you will see this screen below when attempting to "Connect Account Wallet"
New Users - Creating a Silks Wallet
New users will click "Sign Up" at the top and be brought to the above screen to create your account.
Once you complete the registration, you will be sent a Verification link to your email. Make sure to navigate to your email within the same browser that you are using the Silks Portal in (Chrome, Edge, Brave). After you click the link in your email, your account will be verified. Sign In to your new account with the details you just used to create it. You will be shown the "Create Account Wallet" screen as shown below.
After you click Create Account Wallet, a new code will be emailed to you. Copy and paste the code into the white popup box that says "Secured by Magic" at the bottom, as shown above.
Once you type in the verification code, you will be loaded back into the Portal with a similar screen as shown above. Your new wallet has been created. The display will resemble the screenshot provided, with your username positioned in the upper right corner alongside your wallet balance.
Note: If the circle around your Avatar is not green, click on your Avatar Profile picture to bring up the wallet 'Balance' screen as shown above. Click the "Disconnected" grey button (if it appears) and wait for the code from MagicLink to be sent to your email. Once complete, you will be connected and your Avatar will be colored green. Additionally, you may be asked to verify your device for use within the Portal. MagicLink will send you an email as shown below. Click 'Approve this login'
After you click Approve this login, the Silks Portal screen might show a new place for a verification code. MagicLink will send you one more email with a code; paste this into the box and you will be connected!
New Users: Using an existing MetaMask wallet
We have implemented a smooth process for users with already existing wallets they wish to use within Silks.
Navigate to the Sign In tab. At the bottom, click "Sign Up With Existing Wallet" as shown above
You will be prompted to select your crypto wallet.
MetaMask users will see a similar Sign Up screen, with their selected MetaMask address already listed within the form. Once complete, you will be asked to verify your email address. Make sure to complete this from within the same browser as your MetaMask wallet.
