Friday’s 5th from Keeneland is the Game of Silks Race of the Week this week! It’s a maiden Special Weight race with a purse of $100,000 for 2 year old’s going 5 ½ furlongs on the grass with a 12-horse field and a quartet of also-eligible’s with a post time of 3:08 eastern. Check out our Spaces discussing this race starting at noon (EST) Friday on X and reminder a replay of that show will be available if you can’t make it live.

Brennan’s Honor makes debut from the rail for veteran conditioner Rusty Arnold with a solid series of works and a pedigree that suggests he can handle the assignment. Needs an alert break but looks to be a player in here. He is owned in Silks by kadethemaid stables.

Gotta Keep Him was sent off as the betting favorite in both of his starts, both sprints on the grass like this, however didn’t do much running in either spot. Adds blinkers and Johnny Velazquez as Keneally looks to wake the Street Boss colt up. This Colt is available via Delivery Pass in Silks.

Camalla’s Warrior is bred for the grass though his sire is relatively obscure and the $3,000 yearling likely will need more ground to do his best running. DDC Thoroughbred Holdings owns him in Game of Silks.

Non Fungible is a name that should appeal to Silks players though this particular colt showed little in his only start and his trainer is struggling through a very difficult year. Lots of room for improvement but quite a bit is needed. Non Fungible is owned by Degan in Silks.

Muazarah hails from the Pletcher barn who usually sends them out well prepared to contend early yet this Into Mischief colt hasn’t shown too much in his first two starts. He did flash speed in his latest though he faded in the stretch. Adding Luis Saez is always a positive. Muazarah is owned by Austopian Stables in Silks.

In a Jam has shown good early foot in all four of his races though he has not been able to sustain that speed in the last stages, hitting the board but not winning. Only has one work between his last start on September 10th and this spot which is a bit concerning. In a Jam is owned by Trade Your Horses Stable in Silks.

Smokey Smokey ran really well first time out at Saratoga in a 5 ½ furlong maiden special weight on the grass, finishing 2nd by a length. Maker tried unsuccessfully to stretch him out twice but cuts back to sprint distance here. Upset possibility. Smokey Smokey is owned by Vshakerfarms in the Game of Silks.

Runnin’ Rocket showed high speed in two summer starts before Lynch regrouped, shows an excellent series of works for this. War Front colt is bred to love grass and will be dangerous if he can shake loose on the lead. This Colt is owned in Silks by West Coast Stables.

Jimmy Creed being a solid turf sprint sire is the main attraction for Chestnut Creed as Asmussen generally doesn’t do as well at Keeneland as most other venues. Chestnut Creed is owned by Alpha Racing in Silks.

Izzit Midnight ran decently first time out but put in two weak efforts with blinkers added subsequently. Seems like he is in deep here based on his current form. This Colt is available for Auction this week.

Spirit’s Mischief ran well in his debut, finishing 3rd after engaging in quick fractions. Sheds blinkers here and being drawn outside the other speed is an advantage. Ward does well at Keeneland. Spirit’s Mischief is owned by Alpha Dragon Lair in Silks.

Oy Vey draws post 12 for his debut for the vaunted Brad Cox barn which usually has them cranked up and ready to go first time out. Plenty of turf in the pedigree and Prat adds to the allure. Oy Vey is also available via the Auction House for this race.

Good Point encountered a bit of trouble first out in Indiana but would need much improvement to compete here from the also-eligible list. Good Point is owned by an unnamed wallet in Silks.

Redeposit has good works for Foley but needs help to draw in. He is owned by Final Stretch Farms in Silks.

Drip D’Oro improved greatly in his second start when moved to Tapeta surface but needs help to draw in. This Colt rounds out the Auctions for this week.

Higginsville is sporting a sharp work for this but it’s unlikely he will draw in from deep on the also-eligible list. Dwood Farms in Game of Silks owns Higginsville.
